Koshu Inden Wallet with Komon

This small wallet is made with one large pocket. Inden is a centuries old art form in which deerskin leather is decorated with a stenciled lacquer pattern. While it was traditionally used for armor, the end of the Edo era put many armor makers out of work. This pushed the art form into new outlets, such as inro, medicine cases, or wallets
