Large Japanese Indigo Cotton Katazome Yogi
Hand sewn yogi ć€ç (large kimono-shaped quilt used during the Edo and Meiji era). Kaimaki æ»ć·» (sleeved quilt). This yogi is very large, and was likely used by more than one person at a time. The motif is of Aoi or Hollyhock leaves dyed with a stencil resist process called Katazome.Â
